Warm weather has arrived early this year, so it’s time to plan your daily adventures in a city that has so much to offer. Here are a few that City Block Teammate Martin Goldfarb chooses at least once a year:
1) Mural Arts Tour – Have you ever seen huge elaborate murals on Philly buildings and wondered about the story behind the paint? This tour provides a new perspective on Philly via artwork that represents local residents pride & their ability to transform public spaces. For more information and tickets visit Mural Arts Program.
2) Lunch/Beers at The Belgian Cafe – On a street (Green) known for its beautiful row homes and overall allure, this local cafe is an added bonus. With a menu offering a tremendous selection of beers from around the world and a tasty selection of pub food, this is a must visit (especially in warm weather). Outdoor and indoor seating available. My dog has enjoyed a bowl of water while I enjoy a brew and mussels…but please do call in advance to ensure your pup is welcome to accompany you in the outside seating area.
3) The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show – Not only is the Flower Show a super fun event to check out, but it will also provide you with inspiration for landscaping your own home. The theme this year will focus on Holland so you can expect to see plenty of tulips. For more information and tickets visit The Flower Show.
