    Jeff Talks Ultra High-End Philly Real Estate

     
    I love the Philadelphia Business Journal.  And its Real Estate writer, Natalie Kostelni is really great.  Natalie recently wrote an article on the ultra-high-end Philly market.  Keep in mind, that when I first got in the business, Philly didn’t even have an ultra-high-end.  It does now:
     
    Real estate agents who work the high-end of Center City’s residential real estate scene believe there is depth to this ultra-luxe market.
    “I think the proof is in the pudding,” said Jeff Block, a Center City real estate agent with Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach. “The $5-$6-$7 million plus properties have sold like hotcakes.”
    It wasn’t until [Tom] Scannapieco built 1706 Rittenhouse and it sold out that it was known there was even demand at that level, Block said. And other indicators are pointing to the demand too.
    Sales have been robust at One Riverside, a similarly high-end condo project underway by Dranoff Properties; 10 Rittenhouse eventually saw strong pricing; and resales at 1706 Rittenhouse have also shown solid appreciation, said Block, who brokered a resale in the building in 2015.
